when i see ayala avenue

when i see ayala avenue, in the peak of its busyness
when i hear its hectic sound and inhale its fumes
when i taste the dust accidentally sneaked into my throat
when i try to understand its loading and unloading zones
when i find it confusing where to spend lunch and whom to have lunch with
when i feel happy to see its holiday lights and feel bored when the same are gone
when i look at the window and see the marching protesters or just the plain commuters
when i find it hard to go home as much as i find it hard to go to work

........i am blessed. I know. Ayala Avenue reminds me of a LIFE where everything has its purpose :)

Viva Pit Senyor!

my 1st sinulog experience... arrived at the Mactan IA at around 1015- Jan 14, a bit too early to check in. but the hotel allowed me to do so- for FREE! but the thing is- I landed in a hotel somewhere in Lapu Lapu which is 45mins cab drive away from the main event. But it's ok- i said. I do more than 45mins of travel from home to makati-every single working DAY, so what the heck! i headed to the city right away, ignoring the inviting crystal-clear waters of the pool just outside my room. I can do it later I said.

I went to Ayala Center, visited the gym, then went for a massage at a familiar spa. then visited the basilica. just before i went back to my hotel, i dropped by SM to buy some food (lechon and chicharon of course) so i can use my small but nice kitchen to prepare my sumptuous and sinful dinner- yummy!

i really wished i could make it to the fluvial procession which starts to assemble at 430am the next day. unfortunately- the animal fat mixed w/ alcohol kept me and my bed intimate until 930am. I went for a quick swim then headed back to the city- where I met former officemates and friends whom I spent the next 2 days with. we braved the drizzles afterwards and went to the basilica for the solemn land procession at 0130. the sky did not settle for mediocracy- it poured- "raining cats and dogs"as they say. but the devotees never abandoned the lines. walk thru the floods w/ cold winds, holding on to their rosaries and images of the PIT SENYOR. we were soaking wet already, never had the chance to leave the downtown streets, though we attempted to. we ended up eating in some old fried chicken house before we went back to the basilica to hear the post-procession mass.

the next morning sunday, so early- 5am i left the hotel to hear the pontifical mass- before joining the merry making and the famous sinulog parade. had some henna tattoo together w/ a friend, went for lunch in one of my colleague's home. then- the never ending walk. - i did not have to go to the gym at all for a work out. I had to walk all the way to Mandaue just to get a cab that will bring me back to my hotel in Lapu Lapu at the end of the day. Tiresome- but a wonderful experience. the next day- Monday- i'm still on vacation but my blackberry is NOT anymore! I headed back to manila... telling myself, i'm gonna see this- again next year. FOR SURE :)
Thanks to Joey, Connie, Marcial, Emma/Nathan, Clint, Jam, and those whom I may not have mentioned. Viva Pit Senyor !

Dear Blog:

It's that time of the year once more. Another year has passed. So many unexpected things happened this year and I am not sure if I am really ready to face yet another series of challenges, ups and downs. I am thankful though for a lot of blessings this year has brought me. At this point, recalling the milestones- let me share with you some of the learnings I had:

1. It is not always okay to express one's feelings all the time. Perfect timing is important as well.
2. Over reaction brings forth chaos. Inner calmness may come handy at times. To Jun, Red and the rest whom I have hurt last Christmas Season- I have never expressed my apologies yet. I'm sorry. I don't expect things to be back the way they were. But I'm still hoping. Cheers :)
3. I can do things beyond what I believe I can. The perfect drive helped me through it. I thought I will never be able to get out of my CCARE comfort zone. Thank you IFS, MLD and the rest of the BOI team for making me part of you guys.
4. I can hate a friend that much. My tolerance for deceit is close to zero when it comes to friends. To Lyle and Cherry: I don't miss you guys at all. But i still wish you happiness.
5. There is indeed a second chance. Thanks to Jaymee, Jessy and the GX realm.

Here's to a 2011 full of HOPE.

loosing weight... a happy problem

...time to change your wardrobe... the happy thing about loosing weight is you can now choose your clothes from the stylish and more trendy arena... a happy but expensive problem though...

I shrunk from Large (in November 2009) to Small (present). I'm so happy and proud of myself to have achieved this goal :)... sana lang ma-maintain ko.. hehehe..

Running helped me a lot. I spend 60 minutes of running 3x a week. Then RPM on Tuesdays and Thursdays.... Tapos, no more dinner on regular days for me.. The only time I eat dinner is when I'm attending gatherings and parties..

I still want to lose 2 more kilos and that's it.

.....broken hearted...of some sort..

This month.. I will be 35.. I'm old. :) Anyways, not planning to live for so long. As long as lived my life the way I wanted, a short and but meaningful one will do.

Haven't been running for 3 weeks now, since the holidays. I tried to redeem back my mileage so I went to the Fort. Unfortunately, the sun was scorchingly shining, that I ended up w/ Joella's BB class instead. T'was a nice experience though. I really like doing it every time I have the chance. During the class, in front of me is a familiar face. Oh yes, he use to attend Joan's bike classes at RSC. Well let's not mention his name. I always have an unexplainable feeling whenever I see him. Anyways, someone told me earlier that's he's a PLU... and the other guy beside him is HIS'. Now that feels weird. Hahaha.... I though he's straight... Or so I thought.
